Pagoda of Master Taiping at Wansong Temple

The Pagoda of Master Taiping at Wansong Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Tianjin Municipality.

The Pagoda of Master Taiping at Wansong Temple is located at the western foot of Panshan Mountain, north of Lianhualing Village, Guanzhuang Town, Jizhou District, and dates back to the Ming Dynasty.

In front of Wansong Temple stands the Pagoda of Master Taiping, a brick structure with three levels in a hexagonal shape. It features false doors at the front and back, and false windows divided into eighteen sections on the other four sides. At each of the six corners of the first level is embedded a small five-tiered pagoda. The base of the pagoda contains eleven stone reliefs depicting animals and flowers, above which are carved decorative railings. A pine tree grows from the top of the pagoda, adding a touch of whimsy.

On May 16, 2020, it was designated as part of the fifth batch of Cultural Relic Protection Units of Tianjin Municipality by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government.
