China Lighthouse Museum
Built along the coast, the China Lighthouse Museum is located in Zhuyu New District, Daishan County. It is the first domestic tourism destination themed around lighthouses.
Integrated with the development of the new district and inspired by world-famous historic lighthouses, the architectural style remains faithful to the originals. The completed Phase I area replicates and showcases a collection of seven famous lighthouses from different countries and architectural styles, including France’s Amédée Lighthouse, Germany’s Pellworm Lighthouse, Canada’s Cape Beale Lighthouse, Norway’s Kjeungskjær Lighthouse, South Africa’s Robben Island Lighthouse, Uruguay’s Cannelles Lighthouse, and the United States’ 0-Lan Lighthouse. Additionally, there is a 600-square-meter exhibition hall displaying nearly 300 exhibits and panels, where visitors can learn about the history and evolution of lighthouses and read interesting anecdotes about these iconic structures.
