Lanxiu Culture Museum
Located in Beipu, Xiushan Township, Daishan County, it was formerly the "Tianqu Garden" root carving and bonsai exhibition art gallery. Renovated from an old house dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, it consists of nine rooms and is a classic, atmospheric, earthen-structured quadrangle courtyard covering over 1,000 square meters. The museum includes the Memorial Hall of Mr. Li Haigu, an exhibition room for calligraphy and paintings by famous individuals, the Lanxiu Cultural Relics Museum, the "Lanxiu Gang" Maritime History Room, the Lanxiu Orchid Exhibition Room, the Root Carving and Bonsai Works Exhibition Room, and the Family History Room of the "Three Major Families" of Lanxiu. Among its collections are handwritten works, calligraphy, and paintings by notable figures such as Xu Zhikang, Yang Jianwei, and Ni Zhuqing, as well as more than 200 pieces of Ming and Qing dynasty wooden furniture, potted plants, and root carvings. The Lanxiu Culture Museum comprehensively reflects the profound historical culture of Xiushan and serves as a true portrayal of the local customs, life, and historical changes on the island.
