The Daishan Planning Exhibition Hall is a patriotic education base.

The Daishan Planning Exhibition Hall is located at the northwest corner of the county administrative center square, with a construction area of approximately 700 square meters. It features a semi-underground architectural style and serves as a new type of specialized venue that comprehensively showcases the city’s image, enhances urban cultural taste, depicts the city’s development blueprint, and innovates the way planning is made public.

Centered around the theme of “Blue Civilization, Eastern Port City,” the Daishan Planning Exhibition Hall fully displays the overall planning of Daishan County, its construction achievements, and future development vision. The exhibition area presents content through various modes including flat displays, multimedia, and audiovisual simulations. Major exhibition sections include the lobby, historical evolution, leadership care, major development milestones, sand table model of the main island, overall county planning, infrastructure planning, tourism conservation planning, zoning plans, new rural construction, and the formula zone. Visitors can not only gain a comprehensive, multi-angle, and three-dimensional understanding of the tremendous achievements in Daishan’s construction since the reform and opening up, but also learn about the area’s history. It has become a platform for communication between all sectors of society and Daishan, as well as a channel for public participation in the planning and construction of Daishan.

Since its opening, the Daishan Planning Exhibition Hall has aimed to serve as a patriotic education base. It implements a free public opening system, opening to the public from 9:00–11:00 AM and 2:00–4:00 PM on Sundays. On normal weekdays, it is open to groups and offers free guided tours. The hall actively provides educational activities for young visitors and partners with communities to serve as a summer practice base for teenagers.

Since its official opening, the exhibition hall has been highly favored by the public. With the help of guides, visitors have gained a better understanding of Daishan’s future planning, leading to a continuous stream of guests.

In 2011, it was rated as a municipal-level patriotic education base. Patriotic education is an important component of socialist spiritual civilization. The Daishan Planning Exhibition Hall will, in line with the evolving situation and tasks, regularly carry out various forms of educational activities centered on the theme of “Patriotism.” This allows people from all walks of life, especially primary and secondary school students, to understand Daishan’s past and present, and look forward to our future, thereby effectively fulfilling the role of a municipal-level patriotic education base.

It has had a strong educational impact on students from all backgrounds. It has also enhanced the public's understanding of our county’s urban development and planning, and strengthened societal oversight of our work.
