The Sanmen Ancestral Halls Cluster

The Sanmen Ancestral Halls Cluster is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Zhejiang Province.

The Sanmen Ancestral Halls Cluster includes the Wu Clan Ancestral Hall in Wutao, the Yu Clan Family Temple in Loukeng, the Qi Clan Ancestral Hall in Qijia, the Wang Clan Ancestral Hall in Wangjia, the Yang Clan Family Temple in Yangjia, Tingpang Town, the Yu Clan Family Temple in Xuanzhu, Haiyou Subdistrict, the Zheng Clan Ancestral Hall in Shimǎ, Zhuxiao Town, the Wang Clan Ancestral Hall in Xiangshan, the Ren Clan Ancestral Hall in Renjia, and the Zhou Clan Ancestral Hall in Lushangzhou. Most of these ancestral halls were built during the Kangxi and Qianlong reigns of the Qing Dynasty. They are of great historical significance, feature exquisite craftsmanship, and boast fine carvings, making them quite rare in the coastal areas of Taizhou. The Sanmen Ancestral Halls Cluster, along with the Tomb of Luo Shi, the Cliff Inscriptions at Xianyan Cave, and the Ancient Great Wall of Jiantiao, are all key cultural heritage sites under the protection of the county.
