Lishui Museum

Established in 1984, Lishui Museum became a prefectural-level comprehensive museum in August 2000 following the upgrade of the region to a city. The new museum is located at No. 30 Dayou Street, Liandu District, Lishui City. The building consists of three two-story structures forming a courtyard-style complex, covering an area of 13,800 square meters, and is organically integrated into the landscape of Nanming Lake by the Ou River.

The exhibition area of Lishui Museum spans over 7,000 square meters. Standing in the lobby, visitors are greeted by the grand large-scale bronze sculpture "Ode to the Ou River," which leads them into the basic exhibitions “Picturesque Mountains and Beautiful Waters – Lishui’s Natural Ecology” and “Wind of Kuai and Charm of Ou – Lishui’s Historical and Cultural Heritage,” as well as thematic exhibitions including “She Ethnic Culture,” “Hometown of Overseas Chinese,” “Whispers of Kuocang Stone,” and “Three Treasures of Lishui.” These displays systematically showcase Lishui’s abundant natural resources, profound historical legacy, and unique cultural features from multiple levels and perspectives.

Lishui Museum undertakes responsibilities such as cultural relic collection, academic exchange, exhibition display, and social education. It ranks among the top prefectural-level museums in Zhejiang Province in terms of exhibition design, security technology, and intelligent control systems.

Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00–17:00 (last admission at 16:30), closed on Mondays (except national public holidays)

Transportation:

Take Bus 8 to Xihe Gate Station or Y1 to Bingshui Park Station, then walk to Lishui Museum at No. 30 Dayou Street (west side of Bingshui Park).
