Former Site of Wansui Tu Guild Hall

The former site of Wansui Tu Guild Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Changzhou City.

The former site of Wansui Tu Guild Hall is located 35 meters northeast of Dongyue Temple in Wansui, Menghe Town, Xinbei District. It served as the official residence and administrative office of the Tu authorities. The building faces south, consists of three single-story rooms, measures 11.6 meters in east-west length, 12.55 meters in depth, and stands 5.041 meters high, with a total floor area of 147.2 square meters. It features a gate wall and front and rear courtyards, and is of brick-and-timber construction.

Menghe Town: In 2003, following an administrative division adjustment in Xinbei District, the former Xiaohé Town and Menghe Town were merged to form Menghe Town. In 2011, with approval from the provincial government, the Jiangsu Xinbei Modern Agricultural Industrial Park was established. In 2015, the Jiangsu Xinbei Modern Agricultural Industrial Park and Menghe Town adopted a unified “park-town integrated” management system and began operating jointly. The Xinbei Modern Agricultural Industrial Park (Menghe Town) lies to the north against the Yangtze River and the ten-thousand-mu forest park of Little Huangshan, borders Chunjian Town to the east, faces Xilaiqiao Town of Zhenjiang’s Yangzhong to the northeast, connects to Xixiashu Town to the south, and adjoins Gaogiao and the Little Huangshan mountain range of Danyang, Zhenjiang, to the west...
