The Group of Bridges in Houwang Village, Benniu is a cultural relic protection unit of Changzhou City.

The Group of Bridges in Houwang Village, Benniu is located on the Ludu Official Canal in Xingou Village, Houwang Village Committee, Benniu Town, Xinbei District. Emperor Qianlong visited this area during his southern tours and it was one of the Eight Scenic Spots in Benniu’s history. Currently, there are four existing slab stone bridges, including the Ludu Bridge and the Wangxing Bridge (on the Ludu Official Canal).

On March 25, 2018, the Changzhou Municipal People's Government announced the Group of Bridges in Houwang Village as part of the Seventh Batch of Municipal-Level Cultural Relic Protection Units in Changzhou.

Benniu Town: Benniu Town is located on the western side of Changzhou City and is an ancient town with a history of over 2,100 years. The town covers a total area of 55.808 square kilometers, governs 12 administrative villages and 4 residential committees, and has a population of more than 52,000.

In ancient times, Benniu was a key waterway hub known as Benniu Weir. During the Sui and Tang dynasties, with the dredging and lock construction of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and the Meng River, water transport connected all directions of the town. Boats came and went, inns and taverns stood in great numbers, and teahouses, distilleries, oil mills, gristmills, sugar refineries, soy sauce workshops, bamboo and wood shops, iron forges, and ceramics kilns...
