Through a parent-child game challenge format, parents and children played games together while speaking Hakka and shared their experiences of using Hakka at home. The Hakka Affairs Council stated that the one-year "New New Learning Hakka Family Empowerment Trial Plan" introduced activities such as "Come Listen to a Story! Story + Extended Game Activities," "Parent-Child Cooking," "Fun with Hakka Board Games," "Handmade Picture Books," and more, making Hakka learning more lively and natural. Through gatherings every two months, it guides parent-child pairs to experience the joy of speaking Hakka through diverse games, while also assessing parents' effectiveness in promoting Hakka at home, serving as a reference for future expansion.
With Japan currently in the midst of its summer discount season and Taiwan entering its peak summer travel period, many parents have already planned their family trips to Japan. According to surveys, over 45% of people traveling to Japan prefer independent travel. Property insurance providers note that when traveling abroad independently, purchasing comprehensive travel insurance is especially important—and there are three must-have coverage items. Many parents prefer independent travel for family trips mainly because of the greater flexibility it offers. According to the 2017 Travel Intentions Survey, 45.3% of Taiwanese people prefer independent travel when going abroad. Looking at data from the past three years, the proportion of those who prefer independent travel has surpassed group tour rates (28.1%) for the first time. However, since independent travel doesn’t include guides or tour leaders, it’s even more crucial to plan comprehensive travel insurance for the whole family before departure to avoid being left helpless in case of emergencies during the trip.

At its grand opening, the event not only featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the late General He Yingqin but also included an inscription by the renowned calligrapher Yu Youren. Having now celebrated six decades in business, the hotel has been passed on to the second generation—current Chairman Chen Haini—who, through steady and prudent management, has successively established four overseas branches in cities such as Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, and San Francisco in the United States.

Taiwan’s cruise market has continued to thrive in recent years, rising to become the second-largest in Asia. YU Kuo-chen, General Manager of travel agency Lion Travel (2731), believes that Taiwanese travelers’ acceptance of cruise tourism is gradually increasing. With various operators strengthening their Asian route layouts and deploying new fleets to call at Taiwanese ports, he is optimistic that Taiwan’s cruise passenger growth could maintain a momentum of around 20% annually for the next five years. Lion Travel this year exclusively chartered two cherry blossom cruises on the "Majestic Princess," contributing NT$350 million in revenue. Next year, it will continue with four exclusive cherry blossom cruises on the "Sun Princess" and launch one exclusive voyage for the "Venetian Princess"’s Asia debut before Mother’s Day. YU expects that if all five exclusive voyages sell out, they could contribute NT$600 million in revenue, a 70% increase over this year. YU pointed out that cruises are gradually becoming another travel option for Taiwanese people, and the age group choosing cruise vacations has shifted downward from 55 to 50. Moreover, family groups and multi-generational travelers make up the majority, which is significantly different from the mainly middle-aged and elderly, mobility-impaired clientele seen in European and American cruise markets—resulting in notably different traveler demands.

Taoyuan was once voted by netizens as the "least fun" county or city in Taiwan, but is that really the case? The Taoyuan Self-Guided Travel website lists over 10 mini trips, combining local activities and flower festival events to create family-friendly itineraries. Among them, the [Family Fun Day: Joyful Vegetable Picking in the Countryside] is one of the most popular options. The itinerary includes visits to the Kangzhuang Leisure Agriculture Area and Daxi Old Street. Though there are only two main spots, the activities are rich and engaging. The Kangzhuang Leisure Agriculture Area is a composite rural ecosystem that integrates primary industries such as an organic agriculture cooperative, flower cultivation, and various family farms; secondary industries including wooden furniture production and goat milk processing; and tertiary industries comprising leisure agriculture operators, landscape restaurants, and homestays. With abundant water sources, minimal industrial pollution, and a higher proportion of farmland than residential areas, it has been recognized by the Taoyuan City Government as one of the best regions for organic farming. Coupled with its convenient location and well-preserved traditional rural culture, it’s an ideal destination for family trips.
