Join your parents for an artistic and fun Lunar New Year party. Celebrate the festive season at Eslite's “Spring Stroll”! Eslite Life is hosting the Lunar New Year family party “Let’s Go, Spring Stroll Fun” on February 24 at the Xinyi Store and March 3 at the Songshan Store. The event features performances by the If Kids Theatre and the YOYO Family, along with traditional tangyuan (sweet dumplings) from the century-old "Tsai Wanxing Old Shop" and playful dough figurines to celebrate the Lantern Festival.
On March 24 and 25, the Songshan Eslite Performance Hall will also premiere the second installment of its family musical series, “Aka’s Nursery Rhyme Adventure II: Around the World.” Produced by the award-winning A Theatre from the Taipei Fringe Festival, the show features a cappella performances of classic children’s songs and creative adaptations from the UK, USA, France, Japan, Australia, Africa, and more—inviting kids and adults alike to take a musical journey around the globe!

Did you know that “Frère Jacques” (Two Tigers) is actually a French children’s song? Its original lyrics tell the story of a sleepy “monk,” having nothing to do with tigers. The thousand-year-old “London Bridge Is Falling Down” depicts medieval British workers laboriously constructing the bridge over the River Thames and offers a glimpse into the society of the British royal era. The nursery rhymes we sang as kids carry surprisingly profound historical stories!
The “Aka’s Nursery Rhyme Adventure II: Around the World” performances on March 24–25 not only breathe new life into classic children’s songs from around the globe through a cappella, but also incorporate fun elements such as drama, dance, and physical interaction—helping children understand different cultures. The shows were sold out in 2015 and 2017, with many parents even asking about soundtracks. This year, Eslite Performance Hall teams up with A Theatre to produce this exciting new sequel. With tickets over 90% sold a month before opening, an additional show has been added on March 25, along with a special “Sing with Your Little One” ticket package.

The Lunar New Year Family Party kicks off with a sing-along led by the YOYO Family’s Strawberry Sister, featuring stellar performances by the If Kids Theatre and internet celebrities “That Couple + Nini.” The event also includes century-old tangyuan specialty shop Tsai Wanxing Old Shop’s osmanthus sesame tangyuan and a hands-on dough figurine experience to celebrate the Lantern Festival.
Additionally, retro toys loved by both kids and adults—such as a giant 360-grid poke game and a 3D pinball machine—are full of childhood nostalgia. Each poke in the game reveals a lucky fortune stick, with a chance to win mysterious prizes. Bring the whole family for a delightful time!
