To provide preschool education and care knowledge for children aged 2 to 6 and their parents, promote shared reading among young children, and encourage parent-child physical interaction, the Keelung City Government has successively established Early Childhood Education and Care Resource Centers in kindergartens and launched a series of parent-child holiday interactive courses. This year, across seven administrative districts and eight activity sites in Keelung City, a range of parent-child interactive programs are scheduled every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The city government stated that since this academic year, Keelung’s Early Childhood Education and Care Resource Centers have organized a total of 99 parent-child interactive courses during holidays. On the 18th, Mayor Lin You-chang and Department of Education Director Chen Su-fen held a press conference at City Hall, inviting parents and children to learn and play together through hands-on activities and creative fun. Chen Su-fen pointed out that Keelung is the first in the nation to establish an Early Childhood Education and Care Resource Center in each administrative district. Every Saturday or Sunday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a variety of interactive programs such as parent-child games, parent-child board games, parent-child cooking, and insect ecology are offered. With a total of eight activity sites across the city’s seven districts, details can be found on the registration website: http://goo.gl/Uw0j2q.

In an era of declining birthrates, every child is even more precious. Even with their busy schedules, modern parents make time to spend with their kids. Capitalizing on the family entertainment market, the San Chuang Life Park in the Bade commercial district has designated its 7th floor as a dedicated parent-child experience space. Puzzle-loving children can unleash their creativity here, with dazzling glow-in-the-dark puzzles, retro-style arcade machines infused with new technology, popular claw games loved by all ages, and even Shi Huan Zhen, the top star of the Pili Puppet Show, challenging you to a duel! Where should families go for outings? Dads want to check out 3C tech gadgets, moms are eyeing cozy home appliances, and kids are eager to dive into anime. Though we live in a digital age where you can get almost anything with a tap, the experience economy still reigns supreme. As family spending increasingly prioritizes children, the 7F Family Fun floor at the San Chuang Life Park has officially been upgraded and relaunched today.
