When it comes to tourist factories, Taoyuan immediately comes to mind. As of last year, Taoyuan had a total of 28 tourist factories, making it one of the top choices for many family outings. But with so many factories to choose from, where should you start? The Taoyuan City Government has planned a one-day tour that includes visits to three factories, with the itinerary all arranged for you—no more decision fatigue.
Tourist factories are like medium-sized amusement parks, offering everything from observation to hands-on experiences. They also allow visitors to get up close and personal with local industries through industrial tourism—a win-win for all. This tour includes visits to the Xiangyi Robot Dream Factory, the Nan Chiao Tourism Experience Factory, and the Coca-Cola Museum. The Xiangyi Robot Dream Factory is home to Taiwan’s most distinctive robot-themed experience space. Its museum exterior features 12 transparent floor-to-ceiling glass walls, creating a bright and spacious layout. Inside, the dream factory is divided into five main zones: the Product Zone, the Renewable Energy Utilization Zone, the Home Intelligence Zone, the Interactive Experience Zone, and the Robot Evolution History Zone. Among these, the Interactive Experience Zone lets visitors operate robots and interact with related products, including a large claw machine, exciting fighting robots, and off-road robots—all showcasing mature research achievements in Taiwan.
The Nan Chiao Tourism Experience Factory spans 37,000 ping and combines environmental knowledge, industry education, culinary culture, and historical heritage. A visit here allows you to learn about Nan Chiao’s operations, take part in diverse DIY activities, and enjoy international cuisine—it's an educational yet fun tourist factory. In addition, the Coca-Cola Museum is the most well-known of them all. With Coca-Cola sold in over 200 countries, many consumers are curious to uncover the exclusive secrets behind the brand. As a result, Coca-Cola has set up museums at its bottling plants in various countries to bring companies and consumers closer together, showcasing the production process and the unique joy of its brand. Located in the Guishan Industrial Park in Taoyuan, the Coca-Cola Museum stands out with its striking red building exterior. The iconic products that grew up with you not only evoke cherished childhood memories but also offer a wealth of information about the brand and its related products.
With summer vacation here, why not take your kids on an educational trip that’s both visually engaging and hands-on? It’s a great way to bond as a family, create lasting memories, and give your children an unforgettable childhood experience.
