Japanese tonkatsu has been all the rage lately. What exactly is tonkatsu? It looks very similar to tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet), and the preparation process is quite alike, but the biggest difference lies in the oil temperature and cooking time used. By employing a high-temperature, quick-fry method, it achieves a crispy outside and tender inside texture. Starting June 15, Taiwanese customers can also enjoy tonkatsu at Yoshieih, priced at NT$280.
