For every important and special occasion—Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, proposals, and more—Pingzi recommends celebrating at Diamond Tony’s 101, a view restaurant on the 85th floor of Taipei 101, located near Taipei World Trade Center MRT Station. This 101-view restaurant serves Italian cuisine. With its great atmosphere, stunning views over Taipei, high-quality dishes, and plenty of flair, it’s time to start planning your celebration for a night you’ll never forget.

To get to Diamond Tony’s 101 on the 85th floor of Taipei 101, take the Taipei MRT to “World Trade Center 101 Station.” First, head left inside the building and take the escalator up to the 2nd floor.

On the 2nd floor lobby, there will be staff who can guide you. Let them know you’re going to dine at Diamond Tony’s 101 on the 85th floor of Taipei 101, and they will direct you. The view restaurant area has three restaurants in total, with Xinye Shiyixuan offering the best views. It's suitable for dining with family, clients, or entertaining guests. On this day, Pingzi is celebrating a birthday with her family, so she specifically chose Diamond Tony’s 101.

First, you need to transfer from the 2nd floor to the 60th floor via elevator.

Then, transfer from the 60th floor to the 85th floor view restaurant. The elevators are very fast—it only takes a few minutes to arrive. As soon as you exit the elevator, you’ll see Diamond Tony’s 101 on the 85th floor of Taipei 101.

Diamond Tony’s 101 on the 85th floor of Taipei 101 features relatively dim and subdued lighting. The entrance is adorned with a stylish and modern dreamy purple light installation, giving off a fashionable bar vibe that is very chic. The entrance alone is truly impressive.

A Diamond Tony’s 101 on the 85th floor of Taipei 101 logo sign is prominently displayed, exuding an exotic flair and showing great attention to detail. Taipei has many Diamond Tony’s locations, but Pingzi’s most recommended and favorite is the 85th floor of Taipei 101. Aside from the view, the overall ambiance is uniquely distinctive.

Walk through this entrance corridor to enter the interior of the restaurant.

The color tones and atmosphere change, adding a touch of magic—a club-like feel, where many people come to take photos and group selfies.

As you enter, the first thing you see is a specially crafted bar area featuring a life-sized 1:1 replica of an Italian gondola, primarily used for displaying wine. It’s very modern and cost around NT$80 million to build over nearly half a year. The interior extensively uses genuine SWAROVSKI crystal chandeliers, Austrian black glass, marble elements, and mirrored surfaces. The restaurant also offers a view smoking room and the world’s highest-altitude view restroom.

Even the bar stools are imported from the UK, while the sofa seats feature leather with crocodile-textured accents and goat-hoof-shaped legs, showcasing luxury.

A custom-made 101 Tower can be reserved for special occasions like anniversaries—the price is negotiable. Proposing here with such a tower would surely be a success.

In front of the cooking station area, you can see the chefs preparing dishes.

Fine wines are displayed all around—how can you miss pairing great food with great wine?

Diamond Tony’s 101 on the 85th floor of Taipei 101 has quite a few seats, divided into several sections indoors. Aside from the open public area, the deeper part of the restaurant includes four medium-sized private rooms, a row of window seats with full views, and a 16-person private room. The space is mainly arranged in an M-shaped ring, with dimmer sections designed for ambiance, including two-person and four-person seating areas (as shown above).

This dimly lit area is perfect for couples and spouses to enjoy a romantic dining atmosphere.

The space is larger than expected. The daytime ambiance is quite different from the nighttime one, and Pingzi prefers the night vibe.

There are also limited-consumption private rooms that offer exclusive views of the Taipei 101 window scenery.

The city of Taipei lies right beneath our feet, making people feel small as we overlook the entire urban landscape.

The other side features a brighter space designed for larger groups, with better views—especially toward the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi direction. Many foreigners are often seated in this section.

Dining at large round tables creates a particularly atmospheric experience. The high-end design makes the whole meal feel incredibly enjoyable.

Because of its excellent design, the restaurant often attracts many foreign tourists who come here as a must-visit destination.

On weekend nights, live music performances and singers are also featured, accompanying your dinner with beautiful melodies.

The menu at Diamond Tony’s 101 on the 85th floor of Taipei 101 is shiny and gold-plated, a whole book of menu choices with especially thoughtful design.

This time, Pingzi came to try the dinner set menu series (as shown in the picture above). Lunch prices are much cheaper than dinner, but the dinner feast is more abundant. There’s also a late-night menu available for entry after 21:00, divided into different categories for various groups.

Once seated, the table is set with a large plate, napkins, cutlery, and other tableware.

A water glass is provided, but water here is not free — it costs an additional 40 NTD for unlimited refills.

Bread before the meal: freshly baked spiced handmade bread (as shown in the picture above). The bread is served hot, with a subtle spicy aroma, and has a firm texture with a slightly chewy, springy bite.

The special spiced crab meat butter is expertly prepared, rich and similar to a creamy sauce, mixed with shredded crab meat and onions. It delivers a delicious, intense seafood flavor.

Dipping the freshly baked spiced handmade bread into the special spiced crab meat butter is a perfect match, making it incredibly addictive.

Roman vegetable beef stew, sprinkled with a unique sauce, garnished with olives, and served with freshly simmered beef below, all in a rich broth.

Truffle cream wild mushroom thick soup.

The truffle cream wild mushroom thick soup has an intense, thick flavor from the processed wild mushrooms. Topped with truffle, it gives off an aromatic scent, and the creamy, smooth mushroom texture adds layers of richness, making it truly delicious.

Starter cold plate: Sicilian-style seafood salad with Modena balsamic vinegar, arranged with fresh shrimp, salmon, and octopus, dressed with vinaigrette. The salad greens are crispy, refreshing, not greasy, and very pleasant to eat.

Starter hot plate: caviar king scallops with wild mushroom sauce. The scallops are pan-seared whole, served with caviar and asparagus. It’s full of seafood flavor, with tender scallops that pair excellently, making the entire dish top-notch.

Starter hot plate: confit duck leg with mashed potatoes. The duck meat is mashed together with potatoes, topped with many crispy, savory sauces, creating a visually appealing dish.

Scooping out a spoonful reveals a rich and thick serving of confit duck leg with mashed potatoes.

You can taste the intense flavor of the confit duck leg with mashed potatoes. The duck flavor isn’t overpowering, yet everything blends well with layers of taste — smooth, velvety, and melts in your mouth, showing great finesse.

Fashion Set: pan-seared bone-in veal with Parma ham and sage, 1680 NTD, with a 10% service charge added.

Made with bone-in beef, the thick cut is seared to perfection, adding a unique buttery roasted aroma. Garnished with asparagus and paired with ham and sage for a uniquely flavorful combination. The beef is exceptionally tender, and the light sauce underneath enhances the flavor.

Diamond Set: grilled New Zealand lamb rack with aged balsamic vinegar, 1980 NTD, with a 10% service charge added.

The grilled New Zealand lamb rack is not gamey and is extremely tender. The bottom layer of aged balsamic vinegar allows the lamb to absorb the sauce. Even Pingzi, who doesn’t usually eat much lamb, thought this dish was expertly prepared.

If you book in advance, you’ll be seated in this scenic sofa area (as shown in the picture above) right from the start. The atmosphere is wonderful. Since we booked quite late, the staff said they’d move us to a window seat if one became available after the main course, so we could enjoy dessert there. We’re grateful to have such a beautiful view.

The scenic sofa seating area has high-backed chairs that are very comfortable, supporting the shoulders and neck nicely.

The set comes with a dessert after the meal. That night it was tiramisu, reimagined in the shape of an éclair. It was served alongside gummies and macarons. The tiramisu was smooth, rich, and full of milk flavor, with cocoa powder sprinkled on top. It wasn’t overly sweet and wasn’t heavy at all — it was really delicious.

For drinks after the meal, you can choose between tea and iced lattes. The coffee is fragrant, smooth, not bitter, with a strong flavor and just the right amount of sugar — it’s great.

To celebrate, we took a group photo to commemorate the day. Grateful for this day’s birth.

They brought out a birthday cake ordered in advance to celebrate early.

The cake was chocolate brownie, filled with oozing chocolate filling, a bit sweet, and the chocolate was richly aromatic.

If you can’t finish it, you can take it away — they provide a bag for that.

Dining at this casual yet upscale spot, Diamond Tony’s 101 Observatory Restaurant on the 85th floor of Taipei 101, offers a breathtaking view from above — truly romantic. If you want to celebrate a special anniversary or a loved one’s birthday with your family, make a reservation in advance and they’ll even give you a small cake. Highly recommended — you won’t forget this wonderful dining experience.
