The Thai government has offered visa fee exemptions for Taiwanese travelers since the end of last year, further boosting the already vibrant Taiwan-Thailand travel market. Capitalizing on this, low-cost airline NokScoot has increased its Bangkok flights to one daily round trip from March, making it more convenient for travelers heading to Thailand. ETNEWS Travel Cloud has rounded up three standout features of flying with NokScoot, among which is the “NokScoot Quiet Zone”—a specially designated area on the plane that offers a quieter environment than regular economy class, ensuring passengers enjoy maximum comfort while resting during the flight.

1. Optimal Travel Time Windows
▲ NokScoot’s Bangkok route currently operates one daily round trip, with both departure and return flights scheduled in early morning and late night time slots, allowing travelers to make the most of their time in Thailand. Note that flight schedules vary slightly across the week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, the outbound flight departs Taoyuan at 9:40 AM and arrives in Bangkok Don Mueang at 12:15 PM, while on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the outbound flight leaves at 6:20 AM and arrives at 9:05 AM.

For return flights, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, the flight departs Bangkok Don Mueang at 2:15 AM and arrives in Taoyuan at 7:05 AM, while on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, it leaves at 12:20 AM and arrives at 5:10 AM.

2. Aircraft and Cabin Classes

The business class has 24 seats with a pitch of 38 inches, offering priority check-in and boarding, complimentary meals (which may include snacks and drinks depending on the meal option selected), 30 kg checked baggage allowance, and two carry-on bags totaling 15 kg. Power outlets are also available under the seats for charging 3C devices after takeoff.

Economy class seats are also wider than those on typical low-cost carriers, generally around 31 inches. For greater comfort, you can opt for “premium seats” (35 inches) or “extra-legroom seats” (36 inches) for an additional fee.

3. NokScoot Quiet Zone

As the name suggests, it’s designed to offer a quieter and more private space for business travelers or anyone seeking a calmer flight experience—children under 12 are not allowed in this zone.

Since it’s a special seating area, seat selection incurs an additional fee at the time of booking. The NokScoot Quiet Zone is divided into standard seats, premium seats, and extra-legroom seats, with seat selection fees starting from NT$450.
