Ever since Mitsui Outlet Park made a splash in Linkou, the area has gained another highlight with the opening of Global Mall A9 Linkou, integrated with the A9 Station of the Taoyuan Airport MRT. The newly launched mall, which began soft opening on May 25, boasts an impressive 90% of its space dedicated to dining — making it a brand-new gourmet destination for locals and a food lover’s dream come true. Among the many culinary options, there are two Taiwan-exclusive delights: ‘Thai Lu She’ (Thai-style marinated snacks) and ‘Kyushu Tonkotsu En’an Ramen,’ along with another Japanese import I highly recommend — the affordable pork cutlet chain ‘Yoshoku-ya.’ I also discovered ‘i color,’ a colorful lifestyle goods store where everything is priced at a flat NT$49, making it super fun to browse. With delicious food, drinks, and plenty to explore, Linkou really has become a foodie heaven.

There’s a parking lot here too, and the rates are quite reasonable — a very convenient shopping mall for drivers.

It’s still in soft opening phase, so many brands weren’t available during this visit as they haven’t set up shop yet.

Since it’s integrated with the Taoyuan Airport MRT A9 Station, you can easily shop while commuting by train — how convenient is that?

Liangliang Hao Foreign Snacks (1F)They offer a variety of popular and tasty pressed toast flavors. I haven’t tried them myself, but this place is pretty well-known.

Shin Kouho Pharmacy (1F)They provide the latest in beauty, skincare, and health products.

The mall has a total of four floors.

The third floor is the food court, focusing on international cuisines including Taiwanese, Japanese, American, Korean, Vietnamese, Spanish, Thai, and Hong Kong-style dishes.

Shao Bao Charcoal Grill Q<肉面包(3F), which specializes in grilled meat sandwiches — currently one of the trendiest and most convenient fast-food takes on grilled meat.

Kyushu Tonkotsu En’an Ramen (3F), said to be the first and only branch in Taiwan, serves authentic Kyushu-style ramen.

The queue can get surprisingly long, so I’d recommend coming outside of peak meal hours to avoid waiting.

Thai Lu She (3F)is a brand-new marinated snack concept that wants everyone to enjoy this national favorite while experiencing authentic Thai food culture through your taste buds — especially the chemical magic between spices and fresh ingredients.

As someone who loves both Thai and Taiwanese-style marinated snacks, I was naturally curious about this Thai-Taiwan fusion flavor, so we came here specifically for it.

It offers familiar marinated side dishes.

There’s a standing counter seating area.

There are also regular seats, though not many.

There are some decent combo options — just choose your combo and then pick your sauce. Below that, you’ll find vegetarian options, extra toppings, and a la carte items.

Pork slices + instant noodles (spicy stir-fry sauce) NT$178, the combo is quite generous — I only added broccoli, the rest was included. I especially loved that there were lots of veggies, the spicy stir-fry sauce was fragrant and delicious, and my favorite instant noodles were there too (cheers!)

The price is a bit high, but it’s worth trying for the unique flavor. That spicy stir-fry sauce is seriously good — highly recommended.

Beef slices + rice noodles (green curry) NT$168, the green curry didn’t look as appetizing, but the portion was still generous. However, we found the green curry a bit mild — as someone who likes strong flavors, I still preferred the spicy stir-fry sauce.

There were really a lot of vegetables, not much meat, but things like rice blood cake made it quite filling to eat.

The rice noodles were so soft XDD I really don’t like overly mushy textures, so it wasn’t to my taste.

What’s more special is that they added crispy rice crackers, which are especially delicious when dipped in the sauce—I liked it.

Thai-style green papaya salad NT$70The portion was quite small. Although it was refreshing, sweet, sour, and crispy, I thought it was a bit pricey.

Yattazu Pork Cutlet
From Japan’s largest pork cutlet specialty chain—“Yattazu.” I’ve wanted to try this for ages, and now they have so many branches in Taiwan, but I’m only just getting around to trying it XDD

Yattazu Pork Cutlet Grand Opening Special 5/23–5/26, limited to four days: four types all for just NT$150

Other menu items will be available starting 5/27.

Although it’s an affordable pork cutlet, it’s still very high quality. For this price, it’s actually not that cheap in Taiwan either XDD

It has my favorite sesame sauce and shichimi spice!! There’s also a rather unique Japanese yellow mustard, with suggested serving methods. But honestly, the flavor of the dish itself is already quite strong, so I’d suggest trying it plain first before deciding whether to add anything.

Yattazu Pork Cutlet N< NT$.169元Original price NT$169, now on special for NT$150. Actually, for the portion size, it’s enough for a girl, but might not be enough for a guy. But the pork cutlet is really thick—it’s practically piled high, and just looking at it makes you happy.

This pork cutlet is really thick and has a firmer, tastier texture.

The sweetness of the onions and the savory-sweetness of the sauce have soaked into the rice—it’s salty, sweet, and fragrant, super delicious. But don’t expect too much from the rice. People used to Japanese rice might find there’s still a bit of a difference.

Pork Cutlet Curry NT$199(Special price during promotion: NT$150). The pork in this curry pork cutlet was the same as the one in my Yattazu Pork Cutlet N order.<不一样,吉豚猪比较扎实有弹性与嚼劲,但这猪排偏软,就水准内。咖喱口味也偏台式居多,其实就普通没太多惊喜感。

I was lucky enough to catch the special offer. Even though it was only a few dozen dollars cheaper XDDD, I finally got to try Yattazu. In Japan, I actually never got to eat at this chain. ~~~~

Yellow Matters Yellow Max Pineapple Bread Specialty Shop

They have both sweet and savory options, completely redefining your imagination and understanding of pineapple buns. But I was too full today, so I could only take a photo for reference.

i color (2F)

i color is about a new lifestyle aesthetic where life should be colorful and vibrant. Even the most ordinary everyday items are colorful and lively, full of hues—the more color, the happier life is. And everything in the store is a flat price of just NT$49.

It’s actually quite similar to the Daiso concept, they have all kinds of daily necessities.

You can really find hidden gems if you take your time browsing here. But some items may not be worth NT$49, and because everything is the same price, it might not feel like such a great deal XD. Try to buy items that are higher value or equal to the price to get the fun of treasure hunting.

Things like cups, pots, bowls, and plates made in bright colors are just too attractive. So I couldn’t help but buy a few myself~

If you’re also shopping for daily necessities, I’d definitely recommend this place. Browsing here puts you in a great mood because it’s colorful, trendy, and cute.
