Hearts will melt—Thailand’s super Insta-worthy “Strawberry Town” with its pink-hued buildings feels like a fairy tale

The eastern Thai city of Rayong isn’t just a stopover on the way to Koh Samet or Koh Chang. Besides its diverse natural landscapes, it also boasts a romantic “Strawberry Town,” where pastel-colored European-style buildings are scattered among lush greenery. Bathed in sunlight, the stream reflects the blue sky and buildings, creating a scene straight out of a European fairy tale. This dreamy scenery has become a favorite weekend destination for locals.

Though called “Strawberry Town,” there are no strawberries here—but the place is brimming with European charm. Local guides say the owner of Strawberry Town made their fortune in the rubber industry and, due to work, often traveled to Europe, where they fell in love with the local cityscapes. Upon returning to Thailand, they designed a European-style town on their vast land and built a villa as a private retreat for hosting guests and vacations.

Strawberry Town once had strawberries, but due to Thailand’s climate, they couldn’t be successfully cultivated. However, through the owner’s meticulous design, the area now exudes the relaxed vibe of a Dutch holiday. Following a friend’s suggestion, the town was renovated five years ago and opened to the public.

The most popular photo spots in the park are the row of pastel-toned European buildings and the windmill. Whether standing on the stone bridge, sitting in the pavilion, or posing against a pale yellow wall, every angle yields a dreamy, fairy-tale-like shot. Some buildings also house cafes, snacks, and souvenir shops, allowing visitors to dine while enjoying the lake view. One section is even dedicated to an adventure park, where visitors can zip across the lake on a cable, a hit with locals.

The park also offers accommodation services, starting at around 1,900 Thai baht per night. Located just about 1 to 1.5 hours’ drive from Pattaya, it’s a newly recommended photogenic destination for a Thai holiday.
