The Kaiying Ferry enters cross-strait shipping service – Special round-trip fare between Taiwan and Fujian for just 4,700 yuan
The Kaiying Ferry, a roll-on/roll-off passenger vessel operating between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, has officially resumed full service after undergoing testing starting April 17. From now until June 30, the ferry will sail from Pingtan to Taipei every Monday and Saturday, and from Pingtan to Taichung every Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. In addition, the Lina Ferry continues to operate between Taipei and Pingtan every Tuesday and Wednesday, ensuring daily high-speed ferry services between Pingtan and Taiwan.

Dongshan River Eco Green Boat – Overlook surrounding mountain views and participate in rural experiences
Yilan’s Dongshan River Forest Park will be renamed the Dongshan River Eco Green Boat. The park features terraced fields, vegetable gardens, wetlands, and woodlands, offering a miniature version of Yilan. From May 1 to June 30, guided tours will be available Tuesday through Saturday, with one session in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each tour lasts 90 minutes. Group tours for adults are offered, and online registration begins at 9:00 AM on April 20.

According to the tourist hotel operation report released by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications on April 21, in the first quarter of 2015, the average room rate across Taiwan’s 113 tourist hotels was NT$3,883. The highest-priced hotel was The Lalu Taipei Hot Spring Hotel, charging NT$13,187 per night, followed by The Lalu Resort and Silks Place, Sun Moon Lake.
