Menara Garden

Menara Garden (Menara Gardens) is located in the western part of Marrakech at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. It was built in the 12th century by Abd al-Mu'min of the Almohad dynasty and was specially designed for city dwellers seeking respite from the summer heat. The name "Menara" comes from the small green roof of the pavilion in the garden. The pavilion was built in the 16th century and restored in 1869 as a place to enjoy the cool air during the summer.

Menara Garden offers visitors a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and a stunning spot to watch the sunset. The garden is lush with palm and olive trees, which draw water from the central artificial lake. The clear lake water teems with fish, and the reflection of the quaint pavilion shimmers on the emerald surface. The garden has been voted "the most romantic place in Morocco" by the youth of Marrakech. Young people love to come here for romantic dates, to watch the sunrise and sunset with loved ones, to soak in the romantic atmosphere, and to take boat rides while admiring the snow-capped mountains in the distance.
