A global renowned travel website conducted a survey among netizens to identify 2016’s Top 10 Hottest Travel Destinations. The most popular city of the year was awarded to London, UK — marking the second time London has claimed the top spot since 2012. Since hosting the Olympics in 2012, London has seen a continuous increase in tourist numbers, winning the hearts of travelers from around the world. By 2014, the city had welcomed a record-breaking 17.4 million visitors.

For this survey, the website evaluated three key criteria: hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions, with a maximum score of five points. London scored the highest in the attractions category with 4.404 points. The Five Fields in Chelsea, West London, was selected as the best restaurant, while the London Eye was ranked as the most popular attraction. Other highly favored sites include the Tower of London and the Houses of Parliament.
