A global travel website conducted a survey among netizens to determine 2016’s Top 10 Hottest Travel Destinations. The most popular travel city of the year was awarded to London, UK — marking its second time claiming the top spot since 2012. Since London hosted the Olympics in 2012, tourist visits have continued to rise, winning the hearts of travelers from around the world. By 2014, the city had welcomed a record-breaking 17.4 million visitors.

In this survey, the website evaluated three criteria: hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions, with a maximum score of five. London scored the highest in tourist attractions with 4.404 points. The Five Fields, located in Chelsea in London’s West End, was named the best restaurant, while the London Eye was ranked as the No. 1 most popular attraction. Other popular sites include the Tower of London and the Houses of Parliament.
