The Museum of Moroccan Arts (also known as Dar Si Said Museum) is located in Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most beautiful cities. The museum features a wide array of exhibits, including small carpets, wooden carvings brought from palaces, Berber jewelry and weapons, and even swings from ancient marketplaces—many of which are several hundred years old.

The ground floor of the Museum of Moroccan Arts displays forged copperware, weapons, jewelry, and garments, showcasing Morocco’s glorious past. Among them, the forged copper items have been in use for centuries and are still utilized today in Morocco’s mountainous regions. The first floor features exquisitely crafted furniture and decorative pieces—the woodwork showcases intricate and elaborate carvings, while the decor is remarkably refined and full of charm, making them hard to resist. Other rooms on this floor exhibit a variety of carpets from around the world, differing greatly in style, made with feathers or textiles, with their materials indicating their origins.

In the museum’s small courtyard, you can find a variety of windows and doors adorned with exquisite ornaments, demonstrating the remarkable craftsmanship of artisans. Stepping out of the museum and into the street, you’ll realize that not only does the art museum preserve the essence of Moroccan art, but the town’s architecture and interiors also beautifully maintain Morocco’s cultural heritage.
