The Uha Lake Ecotourism Area is a serene expanse of 118 square kilometers of water surface and surrounding areas formed after the completion of the Yellow River Haibowan Water Control Project. Stretching from north to south across the city of Wuhai, it encompasses scenic spots such as the Ulan Buh Desert, Ulan Nur Lake, Uha Lake, Populus Euphratica Island, and Rabbit Island. In harmony with the Gande Mountain Ecological Civilization Scenic Area, together they present a magnificent landscape where water meets sand and mountains connect with lakes. The ecotourism area features undulating mountains and dense rivers and lakes, rich in natural resources, forming a unique natural landscape along the banks of the Yellow River that integrates lakes, islands, deserts, and wetlands. Here, blue skies, white clouds, birds in flight, fish swimming, clear waters, golden sands, and swaying reeds come together to paint a stunning picture that blends the delicate beauty of the southern water towns with the majestic vastness of the northern desert.
