Edited by Someone who has been around Tsuen Wan since middle school, practically witnessing the growth of Tsuen Wan’s dessert district and having tried all kinds of congee, noodles, rice, and buns in the area. Now that a new eatery, entrance, has opened, it’s time to check it out. For noodle lovers, don’t miss “Ox Demon King,” “Pigsy,” and Auntie’s Dumplings!

The new eatery entrance on Luther Court may look similar to another Taiwanese drink shop at first glance, but besides Taiwanese beverages, it also serves noodles and desserts.

The shop isn’t very big, accommodating about 20 people, but it has some thoughtful decor, creating a relaxed atmosphere.

One of the black walls features the signature dishes drawn in chalkboard style.

The signature noodle dish, “Ox Demon King,” comes with a generous portion of beef. The editor opted for the spicy broth, but there are also tomato and pork bone broth options.

“Ox Demon King” is essentially a beef noodle dish. The beef, referred to as beef chunks, has a bouncy texture and pairs especially well with the spicy broth.

Besides soup noodles, there are also stir-fried noodles. The sauce tastes somewhat like Japanese sweet soy sauce. A special recommendation is the crispy chicken wings from the noodle meal set~

The chicken wings are very crispy, even when cooled down, they don’t get soggy, and the flavor is great!

For Taiwanese-style snacks, try these fried sweet potato fries. Don’t let the topping fool you – it’s not salted plum seasoning, but actually plum powder. Taiwanese people often sprinkle plum powder on fruits to enhance sweetness. Adding it to the sweet potato fries also gives the naturally sweet tuber a richer flavor.

Other snacks include “Auntie’s Dumplings,” which come in three flavors: leek and pork, corn and pork, and mushroom and pork.

The corn kernels are hand-shelled whole, so each one is intact, sweet, and juicy. Adventurous eaters might want to try the mushroom and pork – the rich umami of the mushrooms might just make you fall in love at first bite!

For drinks, there’s this large cup of fresh mixed fruit plum-flavored iced green tea. The plum flavor is sweet and tangy, very appetizing, and this is the only drink that can’t be taken away – you have to enjoy it in the store.

Another option is this Taiwanese-style drink: white peach juice?? green tea, which feels refreshing and isn’t too sweet.

A female friend who came along really loved this dessert and ordered it again on her second visit. This square-shaped treat is an ice-fire French toast, but it’s actually a candied fried bread – creatively designed with added caramel crunch on top, offering a rich texture.
