Flower Power in Taiwan: 200 Gather for a Blooming Good Time
In anticipation of the "2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition" opening in November and the prestigious "Interflora World Cup," the Taiwan Florists' Association has initiated a series of floral events under the theme "Flower Harvest Taiwan." The first event was a spectacular "Flower Harvest Taipei" mass flower arrangement activity held at Taipei City Hall, attracting over 200 enthusiastic participants who came together to enjoy the joy of playing with flowers.

At the "Flower Harvest Taipei" event, in addition to many young women and mothers passionate about floral art, even some usually energetic male students were remarkably focused and dedicated. Elderly participants also joined in, using both their hands and minds to share the fun of group flower arranging.
Many are eagerly looking forward to seeing a vibrant display of flowers from around the world during the Taipei Flora Expo. This "Flower Harvest Taipei" event allowed participants to create their own unique potted floral arrangements through DIY flower arranging, helping them understand different flower characteristics. Organized by the Taiwan Florists' Association, the "Flower Harvest Taiwan" series has already been held in Taipei, Zhongli, and Taichung this year, making extensive use of seasonal blooms. Over 170,000 bunches of flowers were promoted in total, successfully sparking a flower-buying trend while also boosting income for local flower farmers.

This year’s "Flower Harvest Taiwan" mass flower arranging event will feature flower arrangement masters touring across Taiwan to host seven DIY flower arranging workshops and demonstration sessions. This symbolizes the "2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition" joining forces with the domestic floristry industry to broaden the scope of floral exchange. Flower enthusiasts can take this opportunity to create their own unique floral artworks under the guidance of these master florists.
