Parc Astérix is a theme park located in Plailly, 35 kilometers north of Paris and 32 kilometers from Disneyland Paris. It is one of Europe’s top five amusement parks and opened on April 30, 1989. The park is dedicated to the world of Astérix and his friend Obélix, who are the heroes of the *Astérix* comic book series created in 1959 by French writer Albert Uderzo and René Goscinny. It is one of the most famous European comics in the world, with over 350 million copies sold and translated into 127 languages.

Parc Astérix is a quintessentially “Made in France” theme park suitable for all ages, featuring 31 rides, including more than ten specially designed for young children. The park showcases five worlds to explore: Gaul, the Roman Empire, Greece, the Vikings, and a Time Travel adventure. Don’t miss the newly added Egyptian world, inspired by the Asterix and Cleopatra album, which features Pharaoh-scale attractions such as “La Descente du Nil” (The Descent of the Nile). The park also offers “Tonnerre de Zeus,” one of Europe’s largest wooden roller coasters, stretching nearly 1 kilometer in length and reaching speeds up to 90 km/h.
