This race will feature a competition route of approximately 80–100 kilometers, set along wild, muddy, and desert-like roads near Zhongwei.
The course must include essential elements such as high-speed sections, jump ramps over ditches, sharp turns, and challenging obstacles, while also showcasing representative local landscapes and terrain. Media-friendly and spectator-accessible viewing areas will be set up along the track.
Approximately 40 super pickups are expected to take on the challenge, with a normal completion time of around 1.5 to 2 hours. The top 8 finishers based on time will be awarded trophies, certificates, and prizes.
2. 0–400 Meter Straight-Line Drag Race
This event will feature a fully enclosed dual-lane drag strip approximately 400 meters long, set up on a main road near the event venue. A highly entertaining activity, it will put the straight-line acceleration capabilities of the participating super pickups to the test.
3. Super Pickup Truck Towing & Load Capacity Challenge
This fun and engaging competition highlights the towing and load-bearing capabilities of super pickups. The race will take place on a hard sandstone slope road near the main venue, featuring a 10–15 degree incline and a total length of about 50 meters. The vehicle with the shortest completion time wins.

1. Super Pickup Modification Summit
During the event, several modification experts and well-known customization shops will be invited to host a Super Pickup Modification Summit at the main venue. Real modified vehicles will be on display, with comprehensive presentations and discussions on modification concepts, processes, and insights.
Multimedia presentations will also introduce visitors and tourists to knowledge about modifications and off-roading, encouraging interactive exchanges with car owners and modification enthusiasts.
2. Super Pickup Electronic Music Party
The central stage will host a Super Pickup Electronic Music Party in the evening, featuring performances by top-tier domestic DJ teams. The metallic and powerful vibes shared by both electronic music and super pickups will blend perfectly, creating an electrifying night.
Notably, Beijing-based pickup truck teams including the Yunliang Racing Team and BATT Custom Team will participate in the event and compete in the Super Pickup Challenge. According to current estimates, about one-third of the vehicles and drivers at the first Super Pickup Gathering are from Beijing.
The event will bring together full-size pickups from both domestic and international renowned brands, represented by models such as the Toyota Tundra and Ford F-150 Raptor. Participants in the Super Pickup Challenge will include not only members of the Off-Road community but also well-known professional drivers and racing teams from around the world.

Pickup Trucks
“Pickup” is the phonetic translation of the English word “Pickup,” referring to a vehicle type similar to an SUV but equipped with an open cargo bed. Super pickups are large, full-size pickups — the kings of the pickup world — characterized by their tall, rugged builds and powerful performance. Full-size pickups offer excellent off-road capability, outstanding towing and load capacities, and a comfortable driving experience akin to high-end SUVs.
Shapotou
Shapotou is located in Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, just a two-hour drive from the provincial capital Yinchuan. The area also has train stations and an airport, making transportation very convenient.
Historically, Zhongwei has long been a key city in northwest China. During the Mongol-led Yuan Dynasty, the legendary Genghis Khan defeated the Western Xia army here, laying the foundation for his eventual conquest of the Western Xia Kingdom. However, heaven did not favor this great figure, as he also passed away due to illness in Zhongwei — a truly poignant moment in history.
