The official website of Yokohama, Japan, announced that from August 9 to August 15, 2017, there will be an outbreak of 1,500 Pikachus. The news has sparked heated discussions and responses online, with many exclaiming that they simply must go！

This year will see the addition of a Pikachu yacht and a 17-meter-long blimp in the Yokohama Minato Mirai area, taking the event to new heights and making Yokohama a Pokémon hotspot this summer.

Last year’s much-acclaimed water fountain show will also return to Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, bringing a touch of cool to the sweltering summer while infusing the event with great energy, aiming to let all attendees feel the power of Pikachu’s 100,000-volt shock.
