The “1000 Pikachu Flash Mob” event that caused a huge stir in Japan last year is making a comeback this August. 1000 Pikachus will appear in the Minato Mirai 21 area of Yokohama, putting on a series of performances that will instantly transform the district into a Pikachu-themed amusement park.

The “1000 Pikachu Flash Mob” event is scheduled to run from August 8 to 16. According to the organizers' plan, on the afternoon of August 1 and 2 starting at 3 PM, a Pikachu preview dance parade will be held on Japan Avenue. From August 8 to 16, this Pikachu army will appear at 8 locations including the Yokohama landmark Plaza, New Nippon Maru, and the square in front of JR Sakuragicho Station, performing events such as the Pikachu March, Pikachu Ferris Wheel, and Pikachu dance shows. Fans who want to interact with these super-cute Pikachus definitely shouldn’t miss it.
