The globally beloved Pikachu has appeared outside Taipei’s Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department store in Taichung City, Taiwan (China)! A towering 7-meter Pikachu-shaped balloon, waving adorably at passersby, instantly sparked a craze on Instagram as people rushed to take photos with it. What’s more, the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi’s 10th floor is hosting a “Pokémon Carnival” from June 6 to July 10 as a limited-time event.

This Pokémon carnival features six major dreamy themed activities. In addition to the giant Pikachu at the entrance of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, each weekend the venue also hosts super cute Pikachu and Eevee plush meet-and-greets that burst with childlike joy—winning the hearts of not only kids but also many adults.

The venue also features several photo walls, each adorned with beautifully crafted and adorable Pokémon characters—some in forests, others playing on lawns—perfect for capturing memories of fun times together.
