1500 glowing Pikachu paraders on the loose – the event is leveling up again

Every year in Japan, the "Pikachu Outbreak" event becomes a hot topic. Following its successful overseas debut at Taipei Lantern Festival, it’s returning to Yokohama, Japan this year. Pokémon fans, don’t miss it!

The "Pikachu Outbreak" event is entering its fifth year, and this time over 1,500 Pikachu will appear in the festivities. In addition to the well-known daytime parade and water splash activities, the event is upgrading further this year with a nighttime light parade and digital water show. Fans can enjoy Pikachu during the day, and for the first time ever, experience a tech-enhanced light show at night.

The following events are planned for this year:
1. Pikachu Grand Parade
Over 1,500 Pikachu are expected to march together, delivering completely different performances during the day and at night.

2. Digital Water Show
The "Soggy Water Show" held annually at the Red Brick Warehouse has been hugely popular. This year, it will be fully upgraded—not only will the daytime performance be as grand as ever, but the night will also see the debut of a glow-in-the-dark stage integrating digital technology, much anticipated.
3. Pikachu Sea Parade
As with last year, the parade and performances will take place against the beautiful backdrop of the inner harbor at Minato Mirai. But this year, the content will incorporate digital technology for an unprecedented spectacle.

In addition, many more activities will be announced in July. With the full upgrade of the light show, fans' visual senses will be wowed, and the fun will continue from day into night—something to really look forward to.
