Senlis is a commune in the Oise department in northern France, located in the Hauts-de-France region. It is a historic medieval town with a long past and is well worth a visit.

Senlis is known for its Gothic Senlis Cathedral and numerous historical landmarks. The Senlis Cathedral is a magnificent Roman Catholic church, built between 1153 and 1191, with its 78-meter-high south tower dating back to the 13th century, which visitors can admire from afar. The Museum of Archaeology and Art houses rings discovered in a Gallo-Roman temple. The ancient royal castle, charming houses, old monasteries, and various bell towers are also worth visiting. The weathered walls, along with several museums including the Museum of the Spahis and the Historical Museum, as well as a variety of festivals, offer much to explore and appreciate.
