Chiumao Garden

Chiumao Garden is located in Xinpu Village, 5 kilometers north of Tongxiao Township, Miaoli County. It was exclusively funded and built by Dr. Huang Chiumao, an overseas Chinese residing in Japan. The garden is lush with flowers and trees, making it one of the renowned scenic spots in Tongxiao. It is also one of the few privately-owned garden attractions in Taiwan that does not charge an entrance fee, which is highly commendable.

Chiumao Garden covers an area of approximately 4 hectares, and its landscaping is primarily man-made, featuring numerous pavilions, benches, and colorful statues of animals and figures, all exuding a strong folk charm.
