Miaoli’s “Hakka Tung Blossom Wedding” – Vow Eternal Love Beneath a Snowfall of Blossoms

Every April when the tung blossoms bloom, Miaoli’s famed “Hakka Tung Blossom Wedding,” known for its traditional rituals, makes its annual return. In celebration of the 103rd year of the Republic of China, Miaoli County has called for 103 couples to register, gathering at the Miaoli Tung Blossom Eco Park on April 26th. There, beneath a flurry of blossoms resembling falling snow, they will begin the next journey of their lives together.

Now in its ninth year, Miaoli’s “Hakka Tung Blossom Wedding” places great emphasis on preserving ancient traditions. Each year, the ceremony follows the customs of traditional Hakka weddings, set against a backdrop of drifting tung blossoms — creating an exceptionally romantic atmosphere. It is Taiwan’s most culturally themed wedding event. Since its inception, over 800 couples have tied the knot here.

Registration for Miaoli’s “Hakka Tung Blossom Wedding” is open from the 15th to the 23rd, with a limit of 103 couples, and can be done at the Miaoli County Tourism Service Center.The Miaoli County Government has also specially prepared six culturally rich Hakka-themed gifts for the couples as tokens of happiness, wishing them a harmonious union for a hundred years.
