To promote local cultural and creative industries, Miaoli County Government produced the “Miaoli Cultural Creativity Video,” documenting the profound journey of how traditional crafts are innovated. The video is divided into three themes—“Handmade,” “Heart,” and “Smiles”—presenting touching moments of cultural creators. The county also launched a lucky draw campaign where participants can like and share the video. From now until March 20, visitors to the website 手作．心．笑容 (www.miaoli-creative.org) can watch and vote for their favorite videos. By logging into Facebook, liking the content, and sharing it on their timeline, they can win attractive prizes such as an iPad2, Wi-Fi devices, and Sony digital cameras.

The video content captures three key aspects of Miaoli’s cultural and creative industry: the process of traditional craftsmanship, the process of creative expression, and the process of creative living. It also incorporates emotions at various levels, showing how numerous traditional industries such as wood carving, pottery, brick kilns, and fabric dyeing are given aesthetic value and new life through the ingenuity of designers. Through these visuals, the public can experience the dedication of cultural creators and be inspired to visit these creative parks.

Additionally, the public can show their love for Miaoli in various ways—whether through travel stories, food reviews, or tales about Miaoli’s cultural creativity. All are welcome to submit entries for the “I Love Miaoli Essay Competition.” From now until March 20, simply publish your article on a blog and send the URL to the event email event@miaoli-creative.org, or send the article as an attachment with the email subject line “Handmade．Heart．Smiles: I Love Miaoli Essay Competition,” including your contact information to participate. Prizes include an iPod Touch, iPod Shuffle, Eslite Bookstore gift vouchers, and Miaoli cultural and creative products. To encourage participation, all essay contestants will receive a “Handmade．Heart．Smiles Limited Edition Deluxe DVD.”
