The vote for Taiwan’s Top 10 Tourism Villages is heating up. To keep pushing for Meinong, the Kaohsiung City Government has launched a postcard lottery. Citizens can simply drop off their postcards in support of Meinong at the ballot box set up on the first floor lobby of the city government’s Sihwei Administrative Center to enter the draw. Tomorrow (the 22nd), five lucky winners of the second campaign will be drawn and receive free lodging vouchers from homestays such as Zigzag Villa and Zhongzheng Lake. The third round of the lottery will collect postcards submitted between tomorrow and February 28, with another five winners receiving free lodging vouchers to be drawn on February 29.

Additionally, the voting postcards collected during these two events will be sent to the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications for a second round of draws after the weekly lottery. Participants also have a chance to win a Nikon digital camera. To join the lottery, simply write “Support Meinong” on your own postcard, fill in the recipient address: 15F, No. 111, Songjiang Rd., Taipei, 104, Attn: Tourism Village Selection Unit, or use the official campaign postcards, affix a 2.5 NTD stamp, and drop them off in person at the ballot box in the Kaohsiung City Government.

For the online voting portion, citizens can join the “Kaohsiung Tourism Network Fan Page” on Facebook, select to participate in the “Exclusive Support – Meinong Striving for Top 3 in Tourism Villages” campaign, then head to the Taiwan Top 10 Tourism Villages website (xn--kkru9ht3abzf.tw) to cast a vote. If Meinong makes it into the top three of the “Top 10 Tourism Villages” vote results, participants can enter to win one of 28 prizes, including round-trip tickets between Kaohsiung and Macau, and free stays in presidential suites.
