West Lake Resort

West Lake Resort is located in Sanyi Township, Miaoli County, Taiwan. Established in 1989, it is a recreational area that emphasizes European-style garden landscapes and family-friendly amusement facilities, covering a total area of up to 100,000 square meters. Next to the resort lies a natural lake called “Dexing Pond,” which is comparable to China’s West Lake in Hangzhou. The locals in Sanyi also call it “West Lake,” and hence the resort has come to be known as West Lake Resort.

West Lake Resort is a vacation destination that has been awarded the “Top-Class Amusement Area” rating for 14 consecutive years. It features both an amusement zone and a nostalgic-themed area. The amusement zone includes a variety of imported mechanical rides such as a pirate ship, space battleship, interstellar shuttle, love train, carousel, and century showdown, suitable for family fun. The nostalgic-themed area houses two themed exhibits: “Little Ying’s Story Theme Pavilion” and “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Theme Pavilion.” These include attractions such as the action donkey carriage photo studio where the main character Little Ying and her mom appear, the forest pond hunting cabin where Little Ying lives, a magical space photography studio, DIY zones, and three-dimensional plush characters like Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Lion—adorable and extremely popular among children.
