Tai'an Hot Springs is located by the Wenshui River in Jingshui Village, Tai'an Township, Miaoli County, Taiwan, with its back against Tiger Head Mountain. It is said that the name "Jingshui" in Hakka means "water for soaking in hot springs," so the local area retains the name "Jingshui" to indicate to visitors that this is a hot spring district. The hot springs were developed as early as the Japanese colonial period and were originally called Ueshima Hot Springs. In 1978 (the 67th year of the Republic of China), Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo visited the site and renamed it Tai'an Hot Springs

In addition to the source spring, Tai’an Hot Spring Area also includes Tenglong Hot Spring and Hushan Hot Spring. Tai’an Hot Spring is located on the mountainside and is an alkaline carbonated spring. The water is colorless and odorless, with a temperature of about 47 degrees Celsius and a pH value of 8. It is a highly popular hot spring pool. After bathing in the waters of Tai’an Hot Spring, your skin becomes smooth and refreshed, earning it the well-deserved reputation as the “Beauty’s Spring.”

Not only does the spring water have excellent quality, but the scenery in the Tai’an Hot Spring Area is also stunning, featuring numerous attractions. For example, the famous Hushan Suspension Bridge is located within the hot spring area. The bridge has an observation deck that offers a panoramic view of the valley’s beautiful scenery.
