Kam Sheng Valley Park

Kam Sheng Valley Park is a large park in Hong Kong, located on Shing Mun Road, Kam Sheng Valley, Tsuen Wan, New Territories, adjacent to Cheung Shan Estate and Shek Wai Kok Estate. The park was formerly the site of the Cheung Pei Shan Temporary Housing Area and a temporary playground. Covering a total area of 10.73 hectares, it was officially opened on December 15, 1997, and has been managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the park.

The park is divided into North Park and South Park for visitors’ sports and leisure activities. The North Park features five tennis courts, a fitness corner for senior citizens, a children’s playground, and two male and female restrooms. The South Park includes a hard-surface mini-football pitch and handball court with seating for 375 spectators, two basketball-cum-volleyball courts with seating for 186 spectators, a children’s playground, a foot reflexology path, a small artificial waterfall, and a 6-meter-high fountain.

At the center of the park lies the Shing Mun Valley Sports Ground, which separates the South Park and the North Park. The sports ground features an all-weather 8-lane 400-meter running track, an 11-a-side grass football field, and a paid parking lot. It was opened in August 1998 and is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. To the west of the park is the Shing Mun Valley Swimming Pool, which opened in 1999 and is also managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
