Helan Mountain Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism destination, as well as a base for patriotic education and national defense education.

Helan Mountain Martyrs' Cemetery is located next to the Forest Park in Dawukou District, Shizuishan City. In the early years of the founding of the People's Republic of China, construction troops of the People's Liberation Army built national defense facilities in the desert hinterland of the Helan Mountains, during which nearly 100 officers and soldiers sacrificed their lives heroically, forging the "Helan Mountain Spirit." To commemorate the fallen martyrs, the cemetery was first built in 1953, covering an area of over 30,000 square meters. It includes a martyrs' monument, a square, a burial area, and a memorial hall, and is the final resting place of 62 martyrs, with the stories of 248 martyrs on display. The cemetery is recognized as a Patriotic Education Base of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, a National Defense Education Base of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and a Provincial-Level Martyrs' Memorial Facilities Protection Unit of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
