Fujian’s Wuyi Mountain has long been known for its reputation as “Emerald Waters and Danxia Hills.” Its classic Danxia landform creates a unique landscape that combines spectacular peaks, winding streams, secluded valleys, steep cliffs, caves, and peculiar rocks. As Greater Wuyi enters the high-speed rail era, in order to stimulate the tourism market, boost tourism consumption, integrate the tourism resources of Greater Wuyi, build its tourism brand, and transition from a ticket-based economy to a comprehensive industrial economy, Greater Wuyi—on the 16th anniversary of its dual World Heritage status—invites the world to enjoy Wuyi Mountain. It has launched the “Fresh Fujian Journey • ¥1 Ticket to Explore Greater Wuyi” campaign, while also promoting various tourist destinations across Greater Wuyi and opening its arms to the world.

As a strategic partner of this campaign, Tujia.com, in exclusive collaboration with Ctrip.com, operates the online sales of promotional electronic tickets such as the ¥1 All-in-One Pass during the event period. The strong partnership aims to promote Greater Wuyi as a tourist destination, showcase Nanping’s tourism resources and products, and establish the brand of “a place for life to thrive.”

It is understood that the “Fresh Fujian Journey • ¥1 Ticket to Explore Greater Wuyi” campaign will run for one month, from September 1st to September 30th. Visitors who purchase the ¥1 All-in-One Pass for Greater Wuyi can tour all national A-level scenic spots in the city and the rural tourism sites listed on the ticket (excluding sightseeing buses and experiential tourism activities). According to officials from the Nanping Tourism Bureau, the combined gate price of all A-level scenic spots in Nanping is 610 yuan.

Nanping is located in northern Fujian, is the largest prefecture-level city in the province in terms of area, and boasts two world-class tourism brands including natural and cultural heritage sites and geoparks, 15 national-level ones, as well as one 5A-level and seven 4A-level tourist areas.
The main highlights of this “Campaign Month” include: First, the launch of the ¥1 Ticket to Explore Greater Wuyi. With the combined gate price of all A-level scenic spots in the city being 610 yuan, the promotion sells them for just 1 yuan. Visitors who purchase the ¥1 All-in-One Pass can explore all national A-level scenic spots in the city and the rural tourism sites listed on the ticket (excluding sightseeing buses and experiential tourism activities). Second, the launch of direct bus services to Greater Wuyi scenic spots. To facilitate visitor access, Nanping will operate over 10 direct bus lines, including five within the Wuyi Mountain area and over five cross-regional direct lines. Third, the hosting of a “Greater Wuyi Famous and Special Tourism Products” trade fair, showcasing local specialties and tourist souvenirs in Wuyishan’s Ziyang Ancient Town. Fourth, a Greater Wuyi Travel Souvenir Selection contest where county governments recommend local gifts for public voting. Fifth, exhibition events including the inaugural “Wuyi High-Speed Rail Era Auto & Property Expo” at Wuyishan Golf Exhibition Hall to promote post-railway tourism. Sixth, promotional discounts on experience-based tourism activities such as the Impression Dahongpao live performance, Shaowu Waterfall Forest Hot Springs, Yunhe River Drifting, and hotel stays, via ¥1 bundled online deals. Seventh, the announcement of tourism market development and promotion rewards, with the official release of the “Nanping Municipal People’s Government Measures for Tourism Market Development and Incentives for Large Travel Agencies,” offering subsidies and rewards in seven categories including group tours, brand promotion, themed events, product innovation, direct bus services, tourist trains, large festivals, and major agencies. Eighth, a series of folk festivals and events aimed at tapping into the senior tourism market.

Tujia’s Stayz Vacation Villas and auto-themed hotels are fully involved in this campaign, providing tourists with highly cost-effective lodging options. Fujian Sanmu Group’s self-built large-scale travel complex—the Self-Travel Town—themed around independent travel and wellness holidays, will launch a hundred new Tujia Stayz auto-themed hotel rooms in September. In response to the campaign, Tujia and Sanmu Group will jointly launch the “¥1 Ticket to Wuyi, ¥1 Room Fee at Tujia” promotion in September, offering nearly a hundred limited-time rooms at flash-sale prices, allowing visitors to enjoy star-rated service for just 1 yuan.

The competition features highly attractive top awards—the “China Imagery Annual Photographer Award” and “China Micro-Imagery Annual Photographer Award”—with prizes of luxury vacation property units valued at 550,000 yuan and 220,000 yuan respectively.

Greater Wuyi tourism has formed strategic partnerships with Ctrip and Tujia.com. Embracing transformative global ideas, Greater Wuyi opens its arms to a new leisure lifestyle with the uniquely different Tujia. Notably, Tujia.com had previously established a strategic partnership with the Fujian Provincial Tourism Bureau, and this joint promotion of the Greater Wuyi scenic area marks a deeper execution of that collaboration.
