Guangchong Starry Sky Park – A New Dating Landmark with Romantic Lighting

After the new station of Pingtung Railway Station was put into use, the original site of the old station was demolished, freeing up a large amount of public space. The county government is currently creating Pingtung’s new landmark “Dawushan Starry Sky Plaza” on the east side of the entrance. The unique design of the hollow steel frame mimics the appearance of Dawushan Mountain and is interspersed with translucent colored glass for decoration. It not only catches the eye and is great for photos during the day, but has also recently officially been lit up, making the plaza shine like a starry sky at night, both dreamy and dazzling.

Dawushan Starry Sky Plaza is themed around the ridgeline of Dawushan Mountain. Parts of the plaza are covered with turf, planted with native tree species, and equipped with misting facilities to convey the atmosphere of the mountains. The lighting at night has become a new highlight for photos, turning the station-front corridor into an important urban landscape for transportation and city streets. Together with the West Pingtung Transfer Station, Pingtung Night Market, and Pingtung Lantern Festival, it attracts tourist crowds and presents a new image.
