Tianxin Bay Scenic Area

Tianxin Bay Scenic Area is located southwest of Tianxin Town, at the exit of the Shenshan Expressway in Tianxin, 2 kilometers from Huagu Rock and 20 kilometers from Chaonan District. It is classified as a Category III scenic area in the "Shantou Tourism Development Plan Opinion."

Tianxin Bay is situated in the middle section where Dazha Bay meets the waters off Huilai. The area is expansive, with vast blue seas, endless skies, and a seamless blend of water and horizon, occasionally accented by white sails and seagulls, creating a highly poetic atmosphere.

When the wind rises and waves surge, Tianxin Bay becomes misty and boundless, with towering waves crashing against the shore, presenting an even more spectacular sight. Yang Wanli, a renowned poet and official from the Southern Song Dynasty who served as the Taichang Doctor and Guangdong Provincial Transport Commissioner, depicted this scene in his poem "Gazing at the Sea from Chaoyang Coast": “A startling wind rises from the edge of the sea, dispersing the sorrow between my brows. Traveling north of the islands after spring has come, my eyes reach the farthest end of the southern sky. Where else can these converging waters go? A thousand peaks rush here only to halt. What sustenance can a traveler find along the way? Just a white seagull amid the endless misty waves.” Gazing at the sea and watching the waves from the coast can lift one’s spirits and broaden one’s horizons—something travelers deeply desire, which is why they never tire of visiting this place.

The beach at Tianxin Bay is flat and gentle, with a mild slope. The waves are usually small, and the sand is fine, white, and clean, making it a natural beach bathing spot. On sunny days, the gentle waves roll onto the shore, resembling rolling snow or a white rainbow, truly capturing the poetic imagery of “endless flat sands where a white rainbow runs, as if a jade cup slipped from the hands of immortals…”—a truly beautiful sight. From time to time, visitors play in the surf, laughing and cheering, their colorful swimsuits adding vibrant life to the scenic beauty. The area enjoys a pleasant climate, with over six months of the year being suitable for water activities.

The scenic area features a fairly large-scale resort—the Huahuiyuan Beach Resort. Covering an area of 53,000 square meters, with a construction area of 4,200 square meters and 10,000 square meters of beach utilization space, the resort is equipped with a professional lifeguard observation tower, protective nets, patrol boats, and a variety of swimming gear, yachts, beach soccer and volleyball facilities, a freshwater swimming area, and a children’s playground, among other safe and entertaining amenities. It also includes a hotel with luxurious suites, standard rooms (where guests can enjoy sea views from their windows), a fitness center, beauty salon, open-air tea terrace, and parking lot.
