Situated along the Southern Corridor, the five southern administrative districts of Rende, Guiren, Guanmiao, Yongkang, and South District feature convenient transportation. In addition to multiple road systems and transit stations that link to other towns in Tainan, Tainan High-Speed Rail and the airport serve as major gateways connecting Taiwan with other cities in Asia. The area offers a diverse range of tourist attractions rich in culture and history. Visitors can experience the bustling incense at traditional temples, explore revitalized idle spaces and community-revived old buildings that offer new artistic experiences, or enjoy a relaxing afternoon riding a bike along the stunning coastline of Golden Coast under the golden sunset. For food lovers, the region also boasts a wide variety of locally grown produce and regional specialties, such as Guiren custard apples, Guanmiao pineapples, Dawan peanut candy, and Yongkang beef soup, all of which attract foodies from far and wide.

This July, a new hand-drawn foldout titled “The Southern Breeze Brings Prosperity and Health” was launched. Featuring Yongkang, Rende, Guiren, Guanmiao, and South District as its backdrop, this illustrated regional map is led by illustrator Trista, who has created numerous works for well-known companies and publishers, inviting travelers to delve into the southern districts of Tainan to explore its cultural richness and new community life. Currently a freelance illustrator and picture book author, Trista founded Ms. Noproblem in 2012. A travel enthusiast, she loves capturing life through illustrations and words. Through this collaboration, she hopes to help more people get to know her hometown.

The “The Southern Breeze Brings Prosperity and Health” hand-drawn illustrated regional map has been available for free since Wednesday, July 27. The public is welcome to pick up a copy at any Tainan City Tourist Service Center, Yonghua and Minzhi Municipal Joint Service Centers, or the following local district offices. Limited quantities are available, and the map can also be downloaded from the “Tainan Tourism Network” (http://www.twtainan.net/).
