Graffiti walls are nothing new, but have you seen graffiti-covered giant barrels? On the grassy field outside the Taichung Cultural and Creative Industries Park, 20 giant barrels stand tall. Thanks to the skillful hands of artists, they’ve been painted in vibrant colors, becoming one of the trendiest photo spots in Taichung. Against the backdrop of sunlight and greenery, they make for even better photo opportunities.

This row of colorful giant barrels was created from old barrels dating back to the days of Taichung’s former brewery. Local artist Mr. Hong Yi, together with over 20 other local artists, transformed them into art pieces. The themes all revolve around “alcohol,” featuring playful, abstract, quirky, aesthetic, and realistic styles. The base of each barrel includes the artist's name and a brief description of the work. Some pieces include *Barrel City*, *Art-Brewed Wine*, *Blushing Cheers*, *Painting the Big Barrels of Taichung Brewery*... and even Apple Sidra inspired the artwork *Moon Bear*, evoking childhood memories.

The 20 artworks are neatly arranged, each showcasing the artists’ use of color and wild imagination. Viewed from different angles, each piece offers unique charm. After being painted, these century-old barrels seem to have been given new life, instantly revitalizing the factory area with youth and vibrancy.
