The Former Site of the Gangtou Farmers' Association (Ancestral Hall of the Zhang Clan) is located in Xinzong Village, Lugang Town, Chaonan District. Dating back to 1927, it is categorized as an important modern historical site and representative building.

On October 10, 2014, the Former Site of the Gangtou Farmers' Association (Ancestral Hall of the Zhang Clan) was designated as a Shantou Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Xinzong Village: Located at the foot of the Greater South Mountain, Xinzong Village in Lugang Town lies in the central part of Gangtou Township. It served as the site of an underground Party branch of the Chinese Communist Party and a guerrilla base during the Liberation War. The newly built Chen-Sha Highway and Xia-An Road run through the entire village, providing very convenient transportation. The village has a total of 1,713.6 mu of arable land and 6,790 mu of forested area, with a population of 2,211 households and 13,149 people in 2013.
