The Baiguo Guanggong Ancestral Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Hunan Province.

The Baiguo Guanggong Ancestral Temple is located in the town of Baiguo, Hengshan County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province. It is a clan ancestral hall of the Huang-Zhou lineage, with a long history, and was designated as an imperial family temple. According to the "Brief Record on the Construction of the Clan Ancestral Temple during the Seventh Revision of the Baiguo Huang-Zhou Genealogy of Hengshan," the Guanggong Ancestral Temple was first built during the Chongzhen era of the Ming Dynasty (1628–1644) to commemorate the founding ancestor of the Huang-Zhou lineage, Zhou Weixia (also known as Guanggong), who served as a Jin Guo Da Fu (National Guardian) in the Yuan Dynasty. It underwent renovations during the Yongzheng, Qianlong, and Guangxu eras of the Qing Dynasty. After multiple restorations, it remains well-preserved today.

The Guanggong Ancestral Temple is grand and majestic in scale, showcasing a unique architectural style that makes it a rare and precious heritage for studying ancient Chinese architectural art and the evolution of traditional clan temple designs. The structure primarily follows official-style architecture (such as the form of large wooden frameworks and dougong brackets), while also incorporating local folk customs.

Above the entrance hall is a stage, the main hall is called Zongben Hall, and the middle hall is the Huiyi Hall. The front gate features tall, imposing lintels, door frames, and 22 stone pillars, with neatly inscribed couplets and carvings of dragons playing with pearls, as well as statues of civil officials from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The ceilings between the middle and rear halls are adorned with round, ornate caisson ceilings, while under the eaves are cross-patterned bracket sets and lotus-shaped dougong brackets, all uniquely styled and diverse in technique. The upward-curving roof corners and gable ends are often decorated with patterns of dragons, tigers, and ruyi (scepters), while the inner surfaces of the brackets are carved with floral motifs, all reflecting distinctive southern Hunan regional characteristics. All wood carvings, stone carvings, clay sculptures, and wooden reliefs inside and outside the temple depict rich historical figures and local legends. In particular, most of the 22 square stone pillars are engraved with couplets handwritten by notable figures from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Moreover, hundreds of authentic calligraphy works by members of the Huang-Zhou lineage have been preserved to this day, further highlighting the profound cultural and artistic legacy of the Guanggong Ancestral Temple. It also served as a secret meeting place for the Yuebei Peasant Association.

In March 2019, the Baiguo Guanggong Ancestral Temple was included in the tenth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in Hunan Province.

Baiguo Town is located in the northwest of Hengshan County, about 37 kilometers from the county seat. The Juan River and Provincial Highway 1841 (Heng-Lou Road) intersect and run through the town. It borders Lingpo Township and Rihua Township of Xiangtan County to the east, neighbors Changqing Township to the west, adjoins Jiangdong and Guantang Townships to the south, and connects with Longkou Township of Xiangtan County to the north. The total area of the town is 54.6 square kilometers, with the urban area covering 4.2 square kilometers.
