The Former Site of the Red Third Army Headquarters is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province and a classic red tourism destination.

Former Site of the Red Third Army Headquarters

Located on the north side of Jiefang Street in Xingouzui Town, Jianli County. From October 1931 to September 1932, this was the headquarters of the Third Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, with He Long as the army commander and Xia Xi as the political commissar. The site was built during the Qing Dynasty and currently features a traditional quadrangle courtyard layout, measuring 12.8 meters in width across four bays and 24.2 meters in total depth, with a flush-gable roof and a mixed post-and-lintel and beam-raising timber-framed brick structure.
