The Wang Family Ancestral House is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

The Wang Family Ancestral House

Located in Jiangyuan Village, Honggang Town, Tongshan County, Xianning City, it is a Qing Dynasty–era building covering an area of 736 square meters, consisting of a main house and wing rooms. The main house faces south and has five bays in width and four courtyards in depth. It is built with blue bricks, features a flush gable roof covered with green tiles, a straight-style gable wall, an octagonal front wall, and inverted Sumeru pedestals made of brick under the eaves, all adorned with colorful brackets. The first, second, and third courtyards have a mixed post-and-lintel and raised-beam structure, while the fourth courtyard uses a post-and-lintel wooden structure. The wing rooms are built along the eastern wall of the main house. The top of the main gate is decorated with a brick facade gate tower, featuring three bays in width and four courtyards in depth. Each courtyard entrance connects to the main house, and the decorations are largely the same as those of the main house. This ancestral house holds significant importance for the study of vernacular architectural layout, structure, and form in the mountainous regions of southeastern Hubei during the Qing Dynasty.
