The Site of the Golden Temple Ruins is a protected cultural heritage site of Hubei Province.

Site of the Golden Temple Ruins

Located in Jinshe Village and Wangliang Village, Xiaogang Town, Xiaonan District, Xiaogan City, this is a heritage site from the Shang and Zhou dynasties and the Northern and Southern Dynasties periods. It covers an area of 240,000 square meters, with a cultural layer 1 to 1.5 meters thick. Remains of a surrounding moat can be found around the site. Artifacts unearthed include pottery li tripods, basins, plates, zun vessels, jars, pots, and ceramic bowls, with an especially rich quantity of proto-porcelain fragments. The site has a large distribution area, is relatively well-preserved, and holds significant academic value.
